The Rubber Tyred Gantry Crane (RTG Crane) is a specialized mobile lifting equipment designed for the efficient handling, stacking, and transportation of international standard containers in ports, terminals, and storage yards. Unlike rail-bound gantry cranes, RTGs operate on rubber tires, offering superior mobility and flexibility to move freely across large working areas, even on slightly uneven ground.
Key Features:
1.High Mobility & Flexibility
RTGs travel on rubber tires, allowing easy relocation without fixed tracks. The tires can rotate 90° and move oblively at 20° and 45°, enabling excellent maneuverability in confined spaces.
2.Efficient Container Handling
Equipped with specialized spreaders, RTGs can lift standard containers including 20GP, 40GP, and 45HQ, as well as hydraulic storage tanks. They support multi-layer stacking (e.g., 1-over-3 or 1-over-5) for high space utilization.
3.Reliable Power Options
RTGs are typically powered by a cable drum system, with an optional diesel generator for power-off scenarios or when moving between yards. Diesel, electric, and hybrid configurations are available to suit different operational and environmental needs.
4.Robust & Low-Maintenance Design
The trolley and traveling mechanisms utilize a three-in-one reducer for smooth operation and easy maintenance. Built with heavy-duty components, RTGs deliver stable performance under continuous heavy-load conditions.
